as the world's largest rodeo, RODEOHOUSTON™ draws the top contestants
in each event to compete in one of the richest regular-season rodeos.
Reliant Stadium became the new home of RODEOHOUSTON in 2003 and is the
only stadium of its kind built specifically for rodeo and
football. RODEOHOUSTON is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo
Cowboys Association and the Women's Professional Rodeo Association, the
major governing bodies for the sport, ensuring that this event is
produced professionally and safely. All contestants are members of the
PRCA or WPRA. RODEOHOUSTON hosts six PRCA events and one WPRA event as
part of its premier competition: bareback bronc riding, barrel racing,
bull riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping and
tie-down roping. Ranked as the world's largest with more than 1 million
spectators, RODEOHOUSTON invites only the top cowboys and cowgirls in
the sport to compete inside Reliant Stadium.
